On April 28, 2026, the newly formed Public Transit Alliance of BC got off to a strong start with a successful virtual launch event.
Guest speakers included Parliamentary Secretary for Transportation and Transit George Anderson and BC Green Party Leader Emily Lowan. The event also created media opportunities both before and after the launch, helping raise awareness of the urgent need for a connected, province wide intercity transit system.
The Alliance’s initial focus will be on developing pan provincial intercity transit strategies, building public awareness, and strengthening the advocacy needed to turn this vision into reality.
