Today is Hope Air Day!

The BC Rural Health Network is proud to work alongside the incredible team at Hope Air, whose services are essential to so many rural and remote residents across BC. Happy Hope Air Day!

For those living far from major centres, transportation is one of the biggest barriers to healthcare. Hope Air helps bridge that gap by providing free flights, and with proper funding, they can once again provide a full range of supports — flights, accommodations, meals, and ground transportation.

Transportation and accommodations are key determinants of health. Access to care should not depend on where you live or how much you can afford.

We are grateful for Hope Air’s work and will continue to advocate for sustainable funding for all travel assistance programs so every British Columbian can get the care they need.
