Summary: There have been catastrophic wildfires in western North America during each of the summers of 2016 through 2020, with no reason to expect anything different in 2021. This presentation will cover key information needed by individuals and public health practitioners to prepare for smoke before it arrives.
Presenter: Dr. Sarah Henderson is the Scientific Director of Environmental Health Services at the BCCDC. She has been studying wildfire smoke, population health, and effective interventions for almost 20 years.
