Please visit our friends at the Stigma-Free Society, which is a Canadian Charity that focuses on mental health and the elimination of stigma.
The training is taking place over 2-days on October 25 and November 1, which is the Charity’s 5th successful peer support worker training cohort for rural residents. Spots fill up quickly, so I hope you will sign up today HERE.
The charity is offering a no-cost program called Peer Support Training for Rural Residents. The training is a valuable offering to help you gain skills to support your own mental wellbeing and learn to create peer support groups in the community. It is my hope that you will take this upcoming training to create support groups for one another during these challenging times. You do not have to have a mental illness to take the training as it focuses on equipping participants with tools to create supportive relationships amongst each other who have similar lived experience when facing related challenges.
Andrea Paquette is President and Co-Founder of the Stigma-Free Society and she is inviting you to sign up today as part of the Society’s Rural Mental Wellness Toolkit.
