The Hornby and Denman Community Health Care Society began in 1979 as a non-profit society and registered charity, working to provide essential services to islanders. Today the Society employs 50 staff and contractors and continues offering home care services as well as many other programs including Better at Home, counselling for children, youth and families, youth outreach, community education, an equipment loan cupboard and more.
