Temperatures are expected to warm up for communities such as Sun Peaks, Heffley Creek, Barriere, Little Fort, Blackpool and Clearwater.
Environment Canada issued a heat warning for North Thompson Tuesday.
The agency is forecasting daytime highs in the low 30s with overnight lows near 14ºC to begin Tuesday and last into Friday.
“A ridge of high pressure over BC is bringing high temperatures to the region,” explains Environment Canada.
“Above seasonal daytime temperatures combined with elevated overnight temperatures will mean little relief from the heat.”
